Haviland Foods was purchased by DB in 2006, and by June 2007 it had been completely intergrated within DB Foods Ltd. Still based in Ferndown it acts as a chicken processing unit under the capable management of John Kempson. It's core activity is taking UK poultry and hand cutting niche market weight graded products such as Supremes.
The synergies that resulted in combining the two companies have been quickly apparent. DB now control all Haviland's storage & distribution issues, and as a result, John is able to concentrate on further increasing & improving production. We are investing heavily in the Ferndown production site, with £100,000 worth of new packing equipment installed August 2007. More investment and equipment is expected in the future.
