South American

The growth in sales of South American Beef over the last few years has been phenomenal. Fuelled by a demand for a consistently well trimmed product, that's relatively cheap yet tender, many customers, particularly those supplying restaurants & hotels have switched to using South American Beef. Brazil provides the bulk of our South American imports, the steak cuts in particular are very popular, especially amongst customers having to portion control in what we all know is a fiercely competitive market   

We also import directly from Argentina, a country our Operations Director, Ben Bayer recently visited in order to look at prospective suppliers. What he found impressed him greatly, DB's Argentine suppliers use old British breeds such as Hereford/Angus crosses and both quality and taste are exceptional.
