Duck

Whilst offering a range of UK frozen duck products, by far the bulk of our sales is made up of fresh product we source from France. For over 15 years we have sourced the majority of it from a single plant in the Vendee region of France.

Unlike many other duck suppliers, our breast & leg products are sourced solely from Barbary Ducks. Many other suppliers - both French, and in particularly non-French, suppliers use Pekin, which whilst fine for roasting, can eat tough when grilled. In fact we are so impressed with the product, it now carries our own label.

The owner of the plant, the charismatic Claude Couthois is a great friend of DB and typical of the type of supplier we at DB like to do business with, competent and dedicated enough to provide a great product, but small enough to be flexible in seeing to our individual needs. As with all our products, we like to think that should you need a bespoke duck product, we can source it.
