DB Foods 30th Anniversary

It is with tremendous delight and huge pride that we are marking our 30^th birthday with a host of celebrations during our anniversary year.

In tribute to this, we have have planned a series of initiatives to celebrate our three decades in business.

‘It has been quite a journey and I am finding it hard to process that it has been 30 years’, says Trading and Purchasing Director, Stuart Robson, who has been with the business from its very beginning.  ‘We started with just one employee back in 1991 and due to our success now employ over 200, many long-serving, staff.  I am really chuffed for everyone who is, and has been, involved in getting the business where it is today’.

The business has grown from its humble beginnings supplying meat to businesses local to Dorset, to one of the largest national meat wholesalers supplying the whole of the UK, with an annual turnover exceeding £100m.  Having rebranded and reinvigorated our digital presence since the start of the year in preparation of our milestone celebration, Stuart reveals that there is a lot more in store.

‘In such a fast-paced industry, you get really caught up in the day-to-day business involved in supplying customers’, he explains. ‘We deliberately took a step back last year and decided we should take more public pride in what we have achieved, raise our heads and talk about all we have done, are doing and plan to do in the future’.

Over the coming months, we will be releasing a series of behind-the-scenes videos to give insight into our operations, launching our own premier ‘DB Select’ range and following a programme of customer deals and competitions, including a ’30 for 30’ series of weekly offers for customers from now until Christmas.

‘The coincidence of the country feeling more positive at the same time we have something to be proud of has created a real buzz round the company’, says Stuart. ‘We are really looking forward to the next few months’.
