We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Retail Operations Factory Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the production of stock, meeting customer specifications, orders and time frames.

Key Responsibilities:
- To communicate and promote the company’s strategy and agenda in a positive and enthusiastic manner and at all times prioritise the company’s best interests and commercial advancement both internally and externally
- To be responsible for the manufacture and packaging of product(s) against agreed timescales, pre-determined costs and specifications
- To have an appreciation of the comparative values of raw materials and consumables with a view to assertive cost management within the factory
- To ensure that there is sufficient resource in place and training provided to guarantee all of the above
- Member of crisis management team
- Demonstrate positive food safety culture by example
- To manage and motivate all personnel under your charge in accordance with guidelines in the company handbook, with responsibility for disciplinary action where appropriate to the level of written warning
- In partnership with the Operation Director, establish agreed staffing numbers in proportion to targeted activity levels, including managing weekly wage cost to agreed budgetary levels
- To be responsible for target setting and for setting and maintaining good standards of behaviour and workmanship at all times
- To be responsible for identifying training needs and development
- To be the principal point of contact between the company and agency staff provider and to ensure that effective and open communications exist between parties
- To be responsible for product quality and food safety
- To ensure that specifications are in place, accessible and understood
- To ensure that commercial performance meets product standard(s), both in terms of yield and quality, where prescribed
- To ensure that standards of workmanship meet company/customer expectations
- HACCP team member
- To ensure that all current legislative & accreditation standards are properly understood, communicated and acted upon
- To be responsible for the ‘all clean as you go’ hygiene in the factory
- To ensure that the security of the premises and stock are maximised at all times
- To manage the relationships between the manufacturing unit and associated functions sympathetically and constructively
